Mystery Night with Sherlock Holmes

Friday September 20th at 7pm, the Liberty Theater presents the first three episodes of Sherlock Holmes – a 1954-55 series which was the first American television adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous detective, and the only one until Elementary began in 2012.

Starring British actors Ronald Howard (son of Leslie) as Holmes and Howard Marion-Crawford as Watson, the series was a response to Basil Rathbone’s too-perfect Holmes and Nigel Bruce’s too-bumbling Watson, seeking to restore the characters to those in the early Doyle stories.

As with all our Friday films, admission is free (although a donation to the theater will be heartily welcomed).
